Dear Santa Baby, this year I would like…
Have you thought about what YOU would like for Christmas this year? Or for another holiday? Your birthday perhaps? I’m one of those unfortunates with a December birthday so it always felt a bit like, “Well, it’s so close to Christmas.” Any fellow Sagittarians out there?
Thinking about what YOU want really isn’t that easy. As a woman, we are typically planning what gifts to give everyone else. My son asked me what I wanted for my birthday and Christmas and I struggled to come up with something. I really have so much. Clothes are no longer an option as I have WAY too many already due to purchasing things to share on the blog. Jewelry? Same thing. My son is early in his career so I really don’t want him to spend too much anyway. There have been years when he bought me a candle. One year it was a cute robe from Target. Honestly, those little gifts meant the world to me because HE thought of them.
So, this year I am doing a post featuring some little ideas that you might just want to pick up for yourself. Imagine that? You don’t even need to ask or hint to Santa Baby!
Purse Organizer
I have been searching all of my adult girlie life for that perfect bag. You know, the one that is super organized and so easy to find things in? I generally insert little cosmetic bags with one for lipstick and gloss, one for all those amazing fashion and clothing coupons, and one for tissues, eye drops and that kind of thing. Despite my best intentions, I am still digging and digging to locate what I am looking for. Can you relate? This organizer is recommended and reviewed by other bloggers and the customer reviews are very high.
Features include:
- Multiple pockets of all sizes
- Lightweight (this is a BIG one for me as I don’t like a heavy bag!)
- Portable–move from one bag to another
- Comes in small, medium and large
- Eight pretty colors
I will personally order a contrasting color so I can see it inside my bag! I’m waiting for mine to come. I ordered a Medium and will carry it in my backpack/bag on my upcoming cruise! I’ll let you know how it works out!
Backpack/Purse
And speaking of a backpack/bag, I have searched everywhere for one I can carry not just for traveling but when I am running around and doing errands. This one is attractive and would be great for everyday use. If you are feeling the strain on your shoulders from either a shoulder bag or a satchel, try a backpack purse. They are no longer a bag for high school students only! They come in all sizes and colors including leather. Try a faux leather to keep it lightweight. Here is a very nice version that comes in several colors. I like the cognac!
Leopard Print Open Cardigan
Can’t seem to get enough leopard? If you are looking for a cute topper you can wear year-round, this leopard open cardigan is a
keeper! It’s a stretch material that you can easily toss on over a tee or turtleneck and a pair of jeans and look super stylish! This inexpensive topper is something you can pick up just for yourself. Because.
Computer Sleeve
Have you updated your laptop accessories lately? I have to admit that I use a hard case from Thule–it’s black and masculine, but allows me to safely tote my laptop around either for blogging or consulting. But I could certainly up my game with this so pretty Kate Spade Sleeve in rose quartz and a sparkly black! And check out this pretty hard case and keyboard combo, also in rose quartz:
So pretty! Getting my laptop gear updated is a goal for the new year!
A book for you!
This book has 5-star ratings from over 5,000 readers! If you are a book lover and a dog lover–like me!–this is a lovely book
Cozy Faux Fur Throw
You deserve a beautiful soft throw just for you. To curl up in with a cup of tea and a book. There is something about a faux fur throw that just wraps you up perfectly and feels so decadent to snuggle up in! This faux fur ruched throw is a real beauty! I have this one in ivory, but it comes in several natural tones and a gorgeous blush pink. Go ahead–pamper yourself!
These are just a few ideas for pampering yourself for a change. They are the kind of things you like to pick out for yourself and don’t have to wait for or hint at to others. Santa Baby? This year, I bought myself a few things that I really want! After all–you deserve it.
With holiday fashion, decor and gifting in full swing, stay tuned for some more holiday inspiration. And a big warm thanks for stopping by and taking the time out of your day to spend a little time with me at AquamarinaStyle.
