Hello, everyone. Happy Monday! Today I am styling a cute top from Nordstrom. I hoped my title with “seersucker” might grab you; it’s such a blast from the past, isn’t it? Remember seersucker shorts, dresses, and even men’s suits in this fabric? I’ve seen some of that coming back. Hey, fashion is whatever YOU want it to be, right?
I especially love it when a new trend–the off-shoulder top–is combined with something from the past–in this case the seersucker fabric. It gives this top such a cool feel and drape.
I also really like the added shoulder straps. You can put your bra straps under them or wear a strapless bra–whatever works best. It feels more stable than some of the other off-shoulder tops in terms of not having to adjust any elastic around your shoulders. I love the ruffles and the flounce at the waist!
You can see there is a bit of a breeze for these photos, but it was still sunny–and too bright! It’s supposed to warm into the high 70’s this week along the coast. I’m happy–that is the perfect temperature for me!
I really like this top with my flared-hem white jeans, and it would also look great with any shade of blue jeans, or dress slacks or my jean skirt! It can be worn for a dressy or a casual occasion, so I think I will get lots of wear out of it. I’m wearing my bright blue velvet slides but it would work with sandals or heels or sneakers.
Have a wonderful start to the week, and look for my post tomorrow.
