As we begin the new year, it’s a good time to evaluate our beauty products. And it’s the perfect time to add a few fresh new products to our regiment. So today, I’m sharing my six favorite beauty products.
What is more fun than chatting with our girlfriends and sharing our best beauty products! I love to get ideas for new products from my friends who have already field-tested the latest and greatest products to keep us looking young and beautiful! Lol! (Notice I said “keep” not “make” us look young!)
Sometimes those products are not the latest, but rather the best old tried-and-true products that have served us well for so long.
In either case, sharing product ideas is a helpful way to hear about products you may not have tried, but might be just what you are looking for.
So, today, girlfriends, I’m sharing those products I love and couldn’t live without. Read on…
My Six Favorite Beauty Products
Photos were a bit challenging here, but I am showing some close-up shots so you can see my six favorite beauty products on my skin. None are retouched–mostly because I don’t know how to do that!–as you can see.
Eucerin Skin Calming Lotion: This is a recent find for me, as I’ve been searching for a fragrance-free body lotion for winter. This one contains oatmeal and is really soothing and does not feel greasy.
Neutrogena Gentle Eye Makeup Remover: I cannot stand going to bed with anything on my face, and that’s especially true for mascara. This non-oily formula works beautifully to remove my eyeliner and mascara without making my eyelids feels greasy. I’ve tried expensive beauty counter brands, and find this one is best. And the price is right? A must-have!
Chanel Mascara: Hands down, Le Volume de Chanel mascara is the absolute best mascara ever! And I have tried quite a few, my friends. It is certainly a bit pricier than some, but it lasts a good 4-6 months. Best of all, it doesn’t clump and makes my lashes look long and healthy. I love it! And lots of other women do, too. It’s been featured in many women’s magazines as highly rated.
I’ve been asked several times if I have lash extensions. I tried them once–not for me. But I take that as a compliment on this mascara!
Giorgio Armani Neo Nude Blush: Pricey? Yes. But it lasts a LONG time. Both in the tube and all day on your face. A tiny bit on your cheek, a quick blend, and you will be amazed at how natural your blush looks. It’s a sheer water-based formula. This is a fantastic product.
Bobbi Brown Perfectly Defined Gel Eyeliner: This product was a great tip from a friend. I’m one of those lazy ladies who does NOT want to have to mess around with a pencil and sharpener. Without fail, my old eyeliner pencils always needed sharpening on the day I was in a hurry to get out of the house. With this gel-based pencil, you simply twist and soft new color appears! It comes in a very deep black as well as other colors. I’m currently loving the Sapphire, the brown and the purple.

Color The World Lipsticks: This is a brand I discovered scrolling through my Facebook posts. It’s a product marketed to women over 40. I don’t often actually buy products on FB after a few scam issues, so I researched this product a bit more. The reviews–over 5,000-were very positive, from both younger and more mature women. CTW is a vegan product–something I like for my lips. It’s creamy, sheer, and it goes on smoothly. And the colors are beautiful. None are too overwhelming on almost anyone. Love these. They have colors galore to choose from. This “Strong Women Pack” of pink lipsticks is one of my favorites.
I’m wearing the color “Foxy” in these photos.
So you see? All I need are these five favorite beauty products! Lol! Of course, I am kidding. It takes a few more items to hold me together!! Haha! But these five items are truly my favorites in the beauty department. Skin care is a matter for another time.
What do you think? Have you tried any of these products, or do any look interesting to you? More importantly, please share back! In the comments below, share your favorite products. After all, we’re just a community of girlfriends with like interests, right? Keeping beautiful is just one of them.
Stay beautiful, my friends.
