Hello, everyone! Today we took at little trip to the Outlet Mall here in San Clemente. It is less than two years old and beginning to become an attraction here in our town. Believe me, there were very few of us locals excited about this addition to our town, but they are doing a nice job and restaurants are popping up, so it is definitely adding revenue and attracting visitors.
As required in San Clemente, the architectural theme matches the city’s “Spanish Village by the Sea,” so there are pavers on the ground, stuccoed walls, and red-tiled roofs throughout. It is actually very nicely done.
Do you own a skort? A combination of skirt and shorts? Well, they have been around for a long time, and I have worn them on and off over the years. With the current trend toward fuller shorts with higher waists, skorts are once again making a comeback. I’m so glad as they are a great choice for casual wear and they are both comfortable and versatile.
The cute navy polka dot skort I am wearing here is from Stein Mart, another new store in our town. Paired with my chambray shirt from Chico’s, it is an easy casual look. Until recently, the only shopping area in San Clemente was basically downtown, which is cute and fun but a bit limited. Or, we could drive 15 miles north to the mall in Mission Viejo which is quite good. So, the outlets offer another option.
To keep the look casual, I added my white lace Skechers and some fun silver and blue earrings.
In the event that I might find something cute I just had to have, I carried my white cutout tote. Good thing, because I got a great buy on some Asics sneakers I have been needing!
You can see the Spanish influence in the arches, the rustic chandeliers, and the wood detailed-ceiling.
Do you go shopping at outlet malls? If so, you might want to stop by the Outlets at San Clemente. Even if you don’t feel like shopping, there are lots of things to do, with fun areas for the kids or grandkids, plenty of benches, and some restaurants and ice cream stores. Wear a skort and be super comfortable!
