It seems that whenever spring rolls around jumpsuits show up on the fashion scene. They are such an easy way to create an outfit that is a bit less formal than a dress but can be dressed up or down, any way you like it. And this sleeveless cropped jumpsuit is a lovely way to add this piece to your wardrobe.
Are you a fan of the jumpsuit? If you’re not yet, do give it a try. Start with something easy, like an easy to style solid color version like the one I’m styling today. There are so many styles and patterns, making it a something-for-everyone style. From wrap-fronts to patterns, to denim, to wide legs, narrow legs, long sleeves, sleeveless, the list goes on…
And even better, jumpsuits have become an appropriate look for almost any environment. You can style them classically for workwear and dress them up for an evening out. The possibilities are limitless.
Very much like the ease of wearing a dress, a jumpsuit makes an instant statement. The only decisions to be made are the accessories. Which shoes should I add? How about a bag? Do I want statement jewelry or just some pretty accents? Will I need a sweater or a jacket? Maybe a hat? The choice of accessories will provide that final touch of casual or dressy that you might be going for, depending on the occasion. Or your mood!
Style a Cropped Jumpsuit for Instant Style
This jumpsuit is a pretty blush pink, called “smokey pink.” The legs are just a bit wide, but not too much for my shorter frame. Of course, the model in the online ad is 5’9″ and is wearing a small, so the cropped length is a bit croppier on her! Lol! So a small on my 5’3″ frame looks a bit different, but in this case, still manages to work for me!
Whew! Look at that darn coastal wind again. Bad hair day pictures have become the norm lately! I look like I’m ready to take off! Haha!
We all know the downside of a jumpsuit, right? The dreaded trip to the ladies room! I can’t say that this style will make that any easier, but the button front might help, as it’s fairly easy to get on and off. And the fact that it’s a bit of a looser fit in the legs helps, too.
You can see that it has a self-tie belt, but you could always change the look by changing the belt. An animal print, a woven style, or a contrasting scarf would give this jumpsuit a whole different feel. You could also add sneakers and a fedora for everyday casual or a wide-brimmed hat and sandals for a beach vibe. And finally, you could style it with heels and a blazer for a stylish workwear outfit.
And the soft pink of this jumpsuit is almost a neutral, which allows you to combine it with many colors and patterns in your closet.
I’ve kept this look fairly simple by just adding some espadrilles, a round tote bag, and marbled pink earrings.

As you can see, a jumpsuit is a versatile option for spring. And a cropped jumpsuit will carry you over into summer and beyond, depending on how you style it. Give it a try and let me know what you think! Are you ready to try a jumpsuit?

Love that one! Fabulous color. I’m still on the hunt for a jumpsuit!
Thanks, Nancy. As I said to Maureen, it does take some trial and error to find one that flatters each of us. Good hunting and I will look to see what style you come up with!

That’s such a pretty color on you Darlene. It’s a style that would suit pretty much everyone which is unusual in a jumpsuit. I don’t have one (I tried a few last summer but didn’t buy one) but I’m going to give it another try. Thanks for joining #WowOnWednesday!
Gail, I totally agree that it’s a style of jumpsuit that would look good on everybody. It’s got simple lines that make it more flattering. Thanks for the feedback and for hosting the Link Up! I’ll watch to see when you pick up a jumpsuit~

Just love this pink jumpsuit! I have gotten a couple of jumpsuits lately and I love them, although using the bathroom is a bit of a challenge sometimes with a zipper in the back, etc. I just love that big bag you’re wearing with it!

I’ve been loving all the jumpsuits, too, Carrie! And yes, the darn bathroom issue is the only drawback! Lol! The bag came in my Trunk Club and wasn’t too expensive, which I love for bags! Thanks for the nice comments,
xx Darlene
