Today I am styling another casual look to highlight one of the trends for scarves this spring–the neck scarf. This is a VERY inexpensive outfit I put together to illustrate just how easy it is to incorporate any new trend without buying a lot of items or spending a lot of money.
Fortunately, the rain has stopped for a while here in SC, and we are expecting things to warm up–all the way into the 70s by next week. Let’s hope the weather forecasters are right this time!
My sweater is by Mossimo for Target, and I am pretty sure I bought it when it was on sale–certainly less than $20. My shirt , which I used to wear with suits for the office, has three-quarter sleeves and a small pattern. When I looked at the tag, I was surprised to see that it is from Coldwater Creek, which means it has been in my closet for some time. The purplish blue goes with just about anything.
The cute little chambray-colored scarf with the flower pattern is also from Target. I picked it up the other day for $5.99! My jeans are from Walmart!! How about that? A few years ago, I was looking for lighter colored jeans and couldn’t find them anywhere. On a trip to Target for toiletries, I saw these-just the color I was looking for! They are soft and comfortable and I have been using them in my wardrobe for some time. Just goes to show you that fashion can be found anywhere!
Once again, I am wearing my ankle boots by Munro with the stacked heel. Very comfortable and they continue to be on-trend. I am thinking that a pair of the new loafer style for spring would be cute–they are showing them in lots of cute colors and styles.
In a future post, I will share how I am incorporating the new color trend for 2017. The Pantone color of the year, “greenery,” is a bit tricky, but there are lots of complimentary colors that will freshen your look for 2017.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog.
