In my last post, I shared my first “finds” from the styling service from Nordstrom called Trunk Club. A styling service can be a wonderful time saver as well as a way to try new things with very little risk. These services are especially good for working women and ladies who just don’t have the time or the inclination to shop. BUT, if you like to shop for bargains, and enjoy scouting the discount stores for those amazing fashion finds, this might not be for you. Or, if you enjoy all things fashion, you might try both! Haha! For this post, I will be sharing the pros and cons of Stitch Fix or Trunk Club.
First off, I am sharing my try-on for two dresses: one from Stitch Fix and one front Trunk Club. Spoiler alert–both are super cute!! Second spoiler alert–this is raw footage of me trying these on in my bedroom sans shoes, accessories, etc.
Stitch Fix Polka Dot dress
Of course, I love the polka dot! Polka dots are trending this Spring, and this is the kind of classic look that is always in style. The detail that sets this dress apart is the tie in the back. Makes it so cute! I think an updo hairstyle would be great with this dress! This piece is exclusive to Stitch Fix that you can request if you sign up.
Trunk Club LBD
This black crepe dress is by Eliza J, one of my very favorite dress designers. Her styles are classic and perfect for all events including weddings, dressy parties, and formal events. They are well made, quality dresses that are flattering and fit well. Perfect styles for Mother-of-the-Bride or Groom!
Clearly, this is a very nice LBD. The sleeve detail–bell sleeves with an attached bow–make the simple sheath style stand out.
Both my stylists, from Stitch Fix and from Trunk Club–did a nice job sending me some unique pieces. The only downside is having to choose what to keep and what to send back!
Pros and Cons of Stitch Fix or Trunk Club
Both of these services have similarities and differences, but overall I would say both are an excellent way to build or add to your wardrobe. This chart can give you a quick feel for both.
Once again, if you shop sales and like bargains, this may not work for you. But just for fun, try one of the online styling services like Stitch Fix or Trunk Club. It’s fun, it saves time, and it introduces you to styles you might not otherwise try. The banner on the right or this link will take you to Stitch Fix and you can check out Trunk Club here.
