Today, I am happily sharing my latest Stitch Fix review for late summer. With my “shopping diet” almost over, I am busily checking out all the fall styles! Thank goodness I still had Trunk Club and Stitch Fix to fill my need for trying on new things!! Haha! As I said, it was more of a buying diet than a shopping diet as it’s impossible to stop looking at new fashion trends. Especially for a fashion blogger!!
So, now for my last official summer post. I will, of course, continue to intersperse warm weather ideas with transitional and fall outfits, as it will be warm here for a couple more months. And I know that’s true for my southern state friends, too. And with the crazy weather patterns happening all over the globe, we may all be wearing warm weather styles for quite a while!
So, here it is, my Stitch Fix Review.
Stitch Fix Review for Late Summer: The embroidered dress
My stylist sent a nice selection of items in this fix. All are based on a color theme of various shades of pinks and blues. I do like the way they package the clothing, nice and neat in the box. (Unlike the Trunk Club trunk that contains clothing items in plastic packaging.)
A disclaimer: Most of these pieces are by brands that are exclusive to Stitch Fix. I will name then in case you subscribe to Stitch Fix so that you can request anything that you really like. None of these selections is over $79, which is great.
I like that the pieces are in similar color families. While I can’t mix and match these pieces since they are all tops and a dress, they all go with the selected shoes. And pinks and blues are almost anyone’s color, right?
The first piece is this super cute dress. The darker blue background makes the colorful embroidery pop! The designer is ‘Skies are Blue.’ And the tasseled tie is right on trend! Last summer I styled a similar black embroidered dress–you can see it here. While the fit and quality are wonderful, I will sadly be sending it back.
Ok, talk about smart marketing. These suede sandals by Violet and Red, named ‘Darlene,’ are a pretty blush color. How funny is that? I do like them very much, and the blush color is so wearable. I um undecided as to whether to keep them!
Stitch Fix Review for Late Summer: The tops
These two tops are very nice quality. Both have floral designs and a blue background. I styled both with a pair of straight jeans by Gap. You will see a lot of selection in jean styles this fall, and a lot of the straight leg style. The straight leg style is more of a classic fit, and may or may not have a bit of stretch. These are the jeans we used to wear, ladies–before the skinnies became so popular a few years ago! You can see them here, on sale!
The first is a classic tailored shirt. What sets it apart, of course, is the floral over the traditional striped background. It’s a cute, tailored shirt. I have several basic shirts already, so will sadly be returning this one.
The second shirt is a cute pintucked style. This style is loose enough to wear anywhere you want to look cute yet comfortable. The floral pattern is soft in light pinks and blues. There is a split back detail which sets it apart.
Choices, choices…
I like both the tops and the dress, but am not in the market for either right now. I am trying to be more selective, but I know these pieces would be a great inexpensive choice for many of you. Next week, I will share and style the one piece that I am keeping. A sneak preview? It’s a beautiful teal green. My personal favorite!
I hope you got some ideas from viewing my Stitch Fix Review for Late Summer! Thanks for stopping by and checking it out. I am always happy to read your opinions or ideas, so feel free to comment below.

Jodie,
That is SO true!! I’m trying hard to be discriminating, but it’s tough! Thanks for the nice comment.

I recently received that same embroidered dress. It’s so cute, isn’t it? Great fix!
Hi Andy,
Oh, how fun! I’ll have to go to your blog and check it out! Thanks for the comment.

The tops are so stylish!
Hi Nicole,
Yes, Stitch Fix has a nice inventory of things, and my stylist does a nice job selecting them for you. Have a great holiday!

Everything is lovely, but I like the last top and the sandals the best. Can’t wait to see what you kept!
Hi Amy,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!! I am trying very hard to be selective, like you, in my Stitch Fix selections. I often want most of the things, but I honestly just don’t need it! I agree that the last top is the cutest. And I like the sandals, too. Yikes! Too many decisions. Have a lovely weekend.
xx Darlene
