Hello, my friends! Don’t you just love this time of year? Even though it’s so hectic, it really is a fun time. To get in the spirit of a “Winter Wonderful” for Christmas, I am styling a beautiful faux fur vest today. Yes, even though we are heading for a heat wave and it is expected to be in the high 80’s on Thanksgiving! Unbelievable!! Our dinner will probably turn into a pool party, but we will definitely eat turkey with all the trimmings!
What are your plans for the holiday? Thanksgiving is such a nice day to spend with family and friends before some of the hectic Christmas holiday parties and events take over.
The Outfit: Faux fur vest
I have been looking for a faux fur vest that doesn’t overwhelm me. I’ve tried several and spent a lot of money before finding this one and returning the others. Guess where I found this one? At Target!! Another great find from their line, A New Day. It was less than $25 and I think it looks terrific.
And of course, I am styling it with a top in my favorite color–aqua–which looks great with the tan tones in the faux fur. The tee is also from Target and is made of a soft, stretchy fabric that comes in five colors.
The scale of this faux fur vest works best with my petite frame. There are some beautiful longer vests and coat faux fur versions out there that might just work for you! And you really don’t have to spend a great deal to find something that you like. But of course, you can if you fall in love with a more expensive one!
As I wandered through Target recently, I also found this gold quilted hat. I have been admiring some of the velvet baseball hats but thought this quilted one was adorable. And it looks great with my faux fur vest, don’t you think?
White jeans // suede booties (similar)
And yes, this vest even has pockets–love that! My Vince Camuto tan booties were a good match for my outfit, and I am loving these white distressed jeans with everything.
As you shop the Black Friday deals, keep your eye out for some faux fur anything. It is trending everywhere and is such fun to wear. I am keeping my fingers crossed for a cool down so I can actually wear mine soon!
Best wishes to all of you as you prepare your Thanksgiving dinner. a dish, or as you prepare to travel to friends or relatives. Tomorrow is the big day! I know you’ll be busy with your families, but I will do a short surprise post in honor of the day. So if you have a minute, check it out!
