Happy Hump Day! Webster’s Dictionary defines pizzazz as the quality of being exciting or attractive: such as; glamour and vitality. And that’s a fun way to describe the act of making oneself more glamorous. or attractive, isn’t it? So, for today’s post, I am showing you how to take a basic puffy vest and give it some pizzazz!
The puffy vest outfit
My lovely mother-in-law bought me this cute version of the puffy vest for a birthday a year or so back. I’m so glad to see this style vest is very popular this season. It’s always a good thing when something as practical as a puffy vest is trending! But it’s also just a great wardrobe piece for warmth and comfort. I’m guessing most of you do have this vest in your closet, right?
Here are some super cute puffy vests I found at various price points. Check them out!
And I found this adorable red plaid puffy vest at Lands End. How perfect is it for a casual holiday event? And its’ on sale for 40% off! Check it out here.
Red is always a great look and especially with white. I am styling a basic turtleneck top here with my white distressed jeans.
The red alone jazzed it up a bit, but to really add some pizzazz, I added a long scarf with white, red and black. I’m sure you all have one of those in your closet, too! Mine is actually a gift from a friend from her visit to Paris, but the vibrant colors and pattern make it look like a holiday-themed scarf as well.
And a pair of neutral booties is always a good look. Especially for me, as I can actually get my foot into the right one! Woohoo! The doctor says I am right on track in my recovery from the surgery and wants me to walk more! That is GREAT news! It does get tired, however, so I have to plan for exercise it and resting it a bit. Not easy at this time of year, is it?
They say that red projects confidence and draws people to you. I keep telling my 25-year old son to wear it so he can meet more women!! Haha! He is such a cutie and I know he will find his soul mate when the time is right.

I am loving the Kendra Scott jewelry I’ve added to my collection. I just discovered that they also have gift sets. What a great gift for a special lady on your list! You can check them out here.
How is your Christmas shopping coming along? I hope you’re enjoying the preparations; even though I know how exhausting it can be, it can also be exhilarating at this time of year!
