In a recent post, How to Mix Textures and Patterns, I shared some ideas for putting these pieces together to make a great outfit. Today I’m sharing a leopard and faux leather outfit as another way to combine those elements.
Pieces in this outfit all come from my closet and you’ve seen them before. The faux leather skirt and leopard cardigan appeared in previous posts.
I featured the leopard cardigan this past summer as part of my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale finds. Here it’s styled with a basic jeans outfit:
You just can’t do it wrong with a leopard print, can you?!
The faux leather skirt, from Loft, is so fun to play with as it can be styled in so many ways! Here I styled it with a floral top last fall:
Today’s outfit is a “style steal” copied from a fellow blogger, Andrea at Living on Cloud Nine. She finds all kinds of great fashion pieces and puts together the cutest looks!
Here is her version of this leopard outfit, styled with a faux suede skirt:
Isn’t she beautiful? She has the most gorgeous flowers! I love the way she styled the leopard sweater with the skirt and boots in this outfit.
My Leopard and Faux Leather Outfit
This skirt outfit is an easy look to put together. Style a faux leather skirt with a cami and leopard cardigan over OTK boots for a chic fall look.
I’ll bet you have similar pieces in your closet. You could easily pull this off with a black denim skirt, too! Or with booties and tights.
For my version of the look, I pulled out many of the same pieces with slight variations.
The boots in my version are my trusty OTK boots from a season or two past. As my skirt is a bit longer, these boots help to create one sleek line from my toes up under the skirt.
As mentioned, my skirt, instead of faux suede, is faux leather in a similar shade of rust.
I, too, added my leopard print calf-hair belt to add a little more animal print with the sweater. And a leopard wrap bracelet Can’t have too much leopard, right? Lol!
A black cami is one of those must-have pieces and I use mine for all kinds of outfits. I have this satin lace-trimmed cami in black, ivory, and floral. There’s also a leopard one that is SOOO cute!
The finishing touch in my style steal is the necklace. I planned to wear my initial necklace that you’ve seen before, but I couldn’t find it! Ugh. It’s delicate enough to not steal the show but adds some subtle gold bling to a top with a lower neckline.
For colder climates, style the sweater over a fitted turtleneck top. It’ll still be a super cute look! With a turtleneck, you may want to add a chunkier chain necklace to stand out.
Just in case you need to add a piece or two to your closet, here are some similar items:
What do you think of this look? It’s an easy one to replicate, as I have here. Give it a try and tell me all about it in the chat below!
