I’ll bet you can guess where the term jumpsuit came from, but here is a bit of extra trivia. The term jumpsuit was introduced in 1919 by a Florentine designer as a practical piece of clothing worn by parachuters and skydivers – quite literally a suit for jumping! How about that? Many of my stylish fellow bloggers have been showcasing them lately and it seemed like my turn! So, today I am styling my version: a black floral jumpsuit that can be worn for almost any occasion.
The floral jumpsuit outfit
I found these super cute espadrille platform sandals at Nordstrom during a price matching. That means that they had to match some other store’s sale price for that particular day, so they were on sale. They are very comfortable and not too crazy high, which works for me. They will be perfect for summer as I can wear them with shorts as well as skirts and dresses.
Naturally, I did have to have the floral jumpsuit hemmed–short legs here! Lol! I had the tailor leave them a bit long so I can also wear heels if I want to wear it for a more formal occasion.
Of course, a circular woven purse was the perfect bag to wear with this outfit to keep it casual. Wow, I do love this bag and have received many comments and compliments! And it is perfect for spring and summer. And trending, too!
I meant to add some bangle bracelets as I think that those and these statement earrings would be enough. A simple choker necklace would also look cute, don’t you think?
If you don’t yet have a jumpsuit, be sure to give them a try! And if you find a floral jumpsuit at a decent price, that is even better. The overall pattern keeps the eye roving which doesn’t call attention to any one area–always a good thing!
Check back in on Wednesday for another jumpsuit idea! They are such fun to play with!
