The weather here in Southern California has been chilly–in the 50s–for the last several days. We’ve even had some much-needed rain! This gives us a chance to bring out some of our cold weather pieces! So, for today’s blog, I am styling a warm and colorful vest from Lands End. I love the graduated tones from red to indigo blue, don’t you?
To highlight the tones in the vest, I am styling it with a burgundy long-sleeve tee from Forever 21. The tones in the vest allow it to be worn with anything from purple, red or blue, which is great.
The darker blue tones pair beautifully with darker jeans, so I am styling it with my Democracy jeggings from Nordstrom Rack.
My ankle-tie flats are another pair from Target. Like my black pair, they are surprisingly comfortable! Once I saw the burgundy velvet, I just had to have them and I’m glad I splurged for the whole $25. Haha!
My necklace and earrings are from a darling little store in Cedar, which is in Northern Michigan near Traverse City. My husband bought them for me on a summer trip there two summers ago. The necklace is a Petoskey stone (the area it came from) surrounded by garnets and is a great conversation piece. Petoskey stones are the official stone of Michigan. Always fun to have a focal point! My bag is several years old and is a favorite from Brighton. I’ve always loved it as blue handbags are hard to find.
