Merry Monday, my friends! After a wonderfully warm and sunny weekend, I am excited to devote this week’s posts to tops for summer. Let’s face it: summer is all about the tops! We add them to shorts or capris, jeans, and skirts long and short. But the top sets the tone for the entire look. So it’s fun to add a pop of color or an interesting pattern to your outfit via a cute top.
For this first day of the week, I am styling a basic coral colored striped tee. I am just realizing how many stripes I’ve been sharing lately! I’ll have to branch out. Haha! It’s just that there are so many cute ones this season in all types of styles. The top today is a short sleeve with a front tie. This style is flattering on everyone and is perfect for a warm day when you want something loose and comfy–like me today!
I styled the look with a new bag I found at TJ Maxx. It’s by Fossil and has cute laser cut-outs in white, with a cognac layer underneath to match the straps. It is definitely a “vegan leather” material, and a great find at $80. I find it hard to buy bags that are not leather that cost more than $200! I will buy a leather bag once or twice a year, and I like to supplement my accessory wardrobe with some less expensive ones as well.
I am really loving my new Ray Bans! And boy, are they coming in handy with all this sunshine!
Espadrilles are such a great basic and can be worn with anything from shorts to dresses. They are also a piece that you can pull out of your closet for more than one season or year, as they seem to never go out of style. These are an older pair from Lands End. The two neutral tones make them go with so many things, and the tan complements the neutral cognac in the bag.
For accessories, I added some bright coral and gold earrings with a white and gold bracelet.
Summer is definitely MY season. What is your favorite season?
Thanks for stopping by my blog and I hope you will check back in tomorrow. Enjoy the beautiful spring weather!
