Anybody interested in fashion also has a fixation on shoes. For me, shoes truly make the look. There isn’t any one particular style that is THE right one for everybody; the best part about shoes is that you can run the fashion gamut from simple to elegant just by changing your shoes!
So, when I say, these are the best shoes to wear right now, I am only sharing some shoe options that I think are a great choice to style with your favorite outfits. And many of them can be worn at home during this COVID-19 crisis.
The shoes you choose make a statement about you to the world. In high school, (yes, a LONG time ago!), shoes were definitely my thing. I like to show my anti-traditional side by wearing boys black and brown saddle shoes while all the other girls were wearing black-and-white ones. As part of my childhood was spent in California and part in the Midwest, sandals were in my DNA. I could often be found wearing sandals the minute the sun came out.
Here are just a few shoe styles that I think are perfect for spring.
The Best Shoes to Wear Right Now
So, given our stay-st-home status and the beginning of warmer weather, what are the best shoes to wear right now? In my opinion, a collection of sneakers, sandals, and booties will do the trick.

White Sneakers
First off, I would be remiss if I didn’t say white sneakers, right? Seemingly so basic, it can often be challenging to find the right pair for you. The best thing is, you can choose lace or slip-on as well as slide sneakers. Whatever works for you.
For me, I went with a pair of Nike’s with a thicker bottom. I like the comfort and support of this style. After wearing basic Keds and Skechers for many years, these offer a little more in the area of comfort.
Of course, almost everybody has a pair of Adidas sneakers in one form or another. My pair is the Adidas Superstar model with the classic black lines down the sides. These blast-from-the-past sneakers are just fun to wear. And they go with lots of things in your wardrobe.
Flat Sandals
Where to start with sandals? From flat sandals to those with heels once the temperature warms up, it’s sandal weather! These asymmetrical sandals from Free People are soft and easy to wear. Over time, the leather just molds to your feet. They are the perfect style to transition from spring to summer. While they are pricier than the mock-offs, I think they are worth spending the extra money for the original.
Wedges
While technically a sandal, a pair of espadrille or other wedges are super versatile. With a bit of height, the wedge heel still feels stable and provides the comfort we all want. The selling point for wedge sandals is their versatility: they can be worn with shorts and a tee by day and a sleek sheath dress by night. Or anything in between. These adorable crochet wedge sandals feature just the right element of natural material to work perfectly for spring and on into summer.
Slip-on Sneakers
Slip-on sneakers are known for their ease of wear. These sneakers have a little edge over basic slip-ons with a hidden wedge in the heel for added height. The black is sold out, but a very pretty neutral blue pair of these wedge sneakers are available and on sale. The subtle blue shade is a great spring shade!
Booties
Cut-out booties with a strap at the heel are a great transition shoe! The chunky heel is comfortable and adds a little length to your leg. While you can wear booties year-round, these are an especially good style for spring and summer with the cut-out toe and heel.
While one can never have TOO many shoes (am I right?), this selection is a versatile collection of sneakers, sandals, and booties: in my opinion, the best shoes to wear right now.
Shoes will always make us happy – if we put on weight our feet don’t change (in the main!). You have some fab shoes. I just realised I have never had cut-out booties, so there’s a big opportunity for me to find some this weekend! Great to see you at #WowOnWednesday Darlene. Have a good weekend x
Thanks, Gail. Same to you! Yes, we can always (for the most part, anyway) wear our shoes regardless! Lol! Check out some cut=out booties–you can wear them a couple of seasons, for sure. Enjoy your weekend!

You have such a great variety of shoes! I’m missing my shoe collection! After a knee injury at the start of the year I’d been just getting back into my regular shoes before all the virus changes and now I can’t travel to my physio I’m back to being in pain and I’m having to wear nothing but my daggy sneakers all the time, ha! Luckily I only go out once a week for groceries, or to walk the kids / dog around the neighbourhood.
Hope that you are having a lovely weekend 🙂
Oh, I’m sorry to hear about your injury, Mica. And your pain! I had ankle surgery about three years ago and I can relate. Just supportive sneakers for quite a while and therapy was a must! Take care of that foot until you can get back to therapy. Happy Sunday!

We definitely can never have too many shoes! However, I haven’t been wearing shoes very often at all lately! I get dressed and then put on my slippers. You have a great collection of shoes and practical is very purposeful right now, for sure! Thanks for linking up.

I wore my Ugg boots during the first part of the stay-at-home phase, so I totally know what you mean! But I do love shoes and try to change them up!

I am a ankle boot addict, so I don t think we ever have enough shoes! Haha! Happy weekend!
Haha! I think it’s safe to say you are a boot addict! You have the most amazing boot and bootie collection, Nancy! You are so right–we can never have enough!

I have a pair of Addidas that are similar to yours, but gold stripes! I love them. I always like getting a couple pairs of new sandals when summer hits.

Ooh, I love that pair of Adidas, too! You can get them in so many color versions! Yup–crazy for sandals, too! Thanks, Carrie.

I am dying to get some Adidas Superstars. I’ve never had any but I know they would be super versatile, and go with almost anything whilst being comfortable too xo
Makeup Muddle
Do give them a try! They just feel fun! The price point isn’t bad either, at about $80. Let me know what you think!
