As I am once again getting ready for an upcoming cruise to the British Isles, my thoughts have turned to what to pack to minimize my wardrobe and still be able to dress fashionably. Comfort is always key. And in that area, I am sharing my latest find in travel pants.
Since we’ll be taking one of those LONG flights (though not as long as our travel to Bali!), there is always the question of what to wear on the flight. Something that is super comfortable to sit in for long periods of time but doesn’t make you look like a fright when you arrive at your destination.
For our last trip, I chose knit joggers. They worked pretty well and were very comfortable. The only drawback is that they tend to sag after sitting in them a long time–who wouldn’t, right? Lol! And the drawstring can get annoying, too. So while they worked, I’ve still been on the hunt for pants that I can travel in and wear while on vacation.
The Best Travel Pants
When I saw these pants, I was intrigued. They are a bit pricey at $98 but I liked the casual look: the wider leg and the cropped length. Even though it can be chilly on the plane, a cropped length is still a good option for traveling in the summer as you can hop off the plane and not be overheated with long pants.
Even better, they have an adjustable roll-up hem that attached with a button if you want a shorter pant look.
They are made of a lightweight stretch fabric that is silky smooth and feels great against your skin. The wide waistband has some stretch and lays nicely against your tummy. If you like a belt, they also have belt loops, but I never travel with a belt. The fit is a loose comfortable fit, so size down if you prefer a tighter pant.
In addition, there are five pockets: two utility in the front, one with a zip, and two back patch pockets.
While I purchased the cropped length, they also have some nice looking long pants that I plan to try. Here are just three examples and they come in several colors:
The Travel Outfit
I find a tee is the best option in a top for travel. They are typically cotton and comes in lots of styles and colors. A short sleeve is best as you can so easily layer a sweater or sweatshirt or jacket over it. A striped version is always wearable and this dark navy plays well with the olive pants. It can also be worn during the trip with lots of pieces in my suitcase.
Here are some cute tees from Loft. Most are on sale! The first one is the exact match to the one I am styling:
Sneakers are so perfect for travel. Now that they are also considered stylish, it’s a win-win! These are my trusty Ecco sneakers. They are highly rated on many travel blogs and travelers cited traveling all over Europe in them and come in 10 colors plus white. That sounds like a good recommendation to me! I may need to branch out and try some new ones. There are so many fun colors!
Of course, a denim jacket is always nice for a chilly day or evening. And indigo blue denim looks amazing with olive green!
Are you planning a trip soon? If you are looking for some great travel pants that are both comfortable and stylish, check out this crop pant. I know you’ll love them!
Love the sage color of those pants and they sound very comfy! I have looked at Athleta pants and do like them, but never ordered. The fit looks great, I like pants a little loose like that. Great with a jean jacket.
Its a must to be comfortable when traveling!

Jess, you would love these pants! Can’t wait to try them out on our trip! These are the crop with a looser leg, but there are regular pants styles, too. I’m going to try one of those styles as well. Thanks for the nice comment and have a wonderful weekend.

Hi from Robin’s link up. You are so right about having comfortable travel outfits. For me the outfit and the comfort is the first step in having a great trip.
I totally agree, Rosemary! There is nothing worse than sitting on a plane for hours being uncomfortable, isn’t there? Yes, planning for comfort makes the trip so much more enjoyable!

Coming to you from Robin’s Linkup. ☺️ Those do look like great long-haul travel pants. A few years ago, I made the mistake of wearing skinny jeans on a flight to Hawaii…I was miserable! Loose pants are an absolute must!
Lisa
Yes, I’ve done that too with the skinny jeans. Comfort is SO key! Thanks for stopping by and commenting, Lisa! I’m headed to your blog to see what you’re up to!

Those trousers look perfect for traveling! When are you leaving? Tell me more about your trip!
Thanks, Nancy! We arrive in Amsterdam on July 16th and board our ship on the 18th. We’ve been to London and Edinborough and are looking forward to seeing a bit more of Scotland as well as Ireland and Wales. I’m getting excited!

You have a really good sense of collaborating fashion, color, and an amazing interpretation. You are 50+ but look gorgeous. Thanks for making this post for us. What would be your style wearing pewter charms on your style?
Thanks
John
Thanks so much, John! In truth, I don’t wear a great deal of jewelry, but thank you.
