Happy Friday, my friends!
It has been such a beautiful week and I am excited to share a classic look with all of you today: the denim or jean skirt.
I’ve had many of these through the years and it has always been one of my favorite looks. I am so happy to see it trending right now!
The skirt I am styling here is from Talbots. I love the stretch in the fabric and the little kick pleat in the front. As always, their petite sizing fits every time. I see me wearing this skirt a lot.
For today’s post, I am styling it in a classic style. Really, nothing beats denim of any kind and a white shirt. The shirt is just one of the many in my closet, and you really can’t have too many white shirts.
I am wearing it with my new block-heeled mules from Anne Klein. I got them at Macy’s and they come in many colors. Mules or slides are also a classic look and I’m glad they are “in” once again. These are in a golden tan suede and are very comfortable. I really like the tassels on the top.
My earrings are the same tassels from gorjana at Nordstrom, and I paired them with a statement necklace that I believe came from Target! My mustard clutch is an old staple that is part of my wardrobe.
I could also see this skirt with tennies and a tee, or even a blazer or a silk shirt. These skirts are just so versatile!
I remember making jean skirts by undoing the seams in a pair of jeans and stitching them back together as a skirt in high school. Those skirts were so creative and fun–no two looked alike!
How will YOU style a denim skirt this spring? They come in all lengths and styles. Check out some great looks from my Pinterest board by clicking here: https://www.pinterest.com/aquamarinastyle/denim-skirts/
Have a wonderful weekend and look for my next post on Monday morning. Thanks to all of you for taking the time to check out my posts and for Liking and Sharing them.
Warmly,
Darlene
