Since we wear sundresses for a relatively short season, even in warmer climates, they are not one of those clothing items you need to spend a lot of money on. You can easily and inexpensively put together cute floral sundress outfits that don’t break the bank. To illustrate, I’m showing three outfits that are both affordable and stylish.
And just in case you still need a cute and casual outfit for Easter, you can still pick one of these up at your nearest Target, or even online.
Although we’re expecting warm weather this weekend, you just never know how strong the breeze will be here along the coast. And the same holds true for almost everywhere, right? In anticipation of a bit of cool weather, I’m sharing how easily you can add a fun denim jacket to change-up the look–or just keep you warm.
If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I have a collection of denim jackets in several styles, lengths, and colors. And I’m guessing you do, too! Denim jackets never go out of style and are a handy wardrobe piece that instantly changes the look of any outfit. They look super cute with casual dresses and can make a look as simple as jeans and a tee looked pulled together.
Here are three affordable looks to inspire you…
3 Floral Sundress Outfits with Denim Jackets
Sundress Outfit #1
The first dress is yellow and white floral with a self-tie belt. This is a sleeveless V-neck style in a maxi length with rounded slits. Since I love anything yellow, this was a no-brainer for me! Just know that it does run a bit big.
For this look, it’s styled with white espadrilles and a woven round bag trimmed in white. This bag is a bigger version of the round style which is great for carrying all of your essentials. And a classic denim jacket is just the right touch for a cool spring or summer evening. The post, How to Style a Basic T-shirt Dress is another example showing how easily a denim jacket can update the look of a simple summer dress.

Sundress Outfit #2
This floral midi dress in dusty blue has a tiered midi-length skirt and adjustable shoulder straps. The fabric is soft and breathable making it perfect for a warm day. Wear it to lunch with your friends or dinner with your honey.
I added blue suede slides to highlight the bluish purple flowers in the fabric. The straw bucket bag is a big item this spring. And it’s a VERY affordable bag. If you like it, grab it right away as these bags are selling out fast. I chose an off-white denim jacket for this dress to keep thing light.

Sundress Outfit #3
This off-shoulder maxi dress has a high-low hem with a ruffled flounce. This is the perfect dress to wear to your summer vacation destination–or just to a summer party! The deep periwinkle is always flattering and can really show off a summer tan–even a faux tan. I’ll be working on that soon! lol!
The dress by itself is a statement piece, so the accessories are kept simple. Tan sandals and a round woven bag complete the look. These bags from last summer are still popular this season so pull yours out! And the cut-out sandals continue to trend as well. They also come in 9 colors!
The denim jacket I chose for this dress is a short bolero style. The shorter length is more flattering with the gathered waist. This one is from Ethyl Clothing and I haven’t seen anything as nice anywhere else. I was fortunate to have this gifted this to me and I styled it in my blog post on our trip to Bali.

You can see how easy it is to take an affordable floral sundress and give it some style! As always, the accessories–the shoes, bag, jewelry–and even a jacket–truly make them look special. How are you styling floral this spring?
I love them all on you Darlene! The white jackets are so smart with these sundresses, and I do love the colors! The periwinkle, I was set to buy, but all sizes are out of stock! I love the yellow too! Perhaps I need to shop more at Target, I dont buy much clothes there! I love the SE sandals too, they are on my wish list.
You look beautiful!

Thanks for the sweet comments, Jess. Target has so many really nice clothing lines, and I almost always find cute things there. It’s kind of dangerous–at their low prices, one has to restrain oneself!! Haha! I have two pairs of the SE sandals and may pick up more as they come in so many colors!

Some pretty dresses, love a floral pattern. Great looks for better weather – thanks for sharing on #chicandstylish today. Jacqui Mummabstylish
Thanks, Jacqui. I am really into floral patterns this season and there is SO much to try! Our weather keeps teasing us and doesn’t stay very warm for more than a day. But when it comes, I’ll be ready! Haha!
Take care,
xx Darlene
All these dresses are so gorgeous and I love how you styled them!
Thanks for the nice comment, Amy. You can’t go wrong with all the floral prints out right now, can you? Have an amazing day!

I love that last dress! Such a beautiful color!
I know, right? That shade of periwinkle is always one that gets commented on. And it looks good on almost everyone! Thanks, Nancy!
