In my last post, The Power of the Pink Pantsuit, I shared ideas for styling this wardrobe staple. Today, I’m sharing three fun ways to style a pink blazer from that suit outfit.
The monochromatic suit is a big trend right now, but the real benefit of a suit is the multitude of ways you can style the separates. Since blazers work with almost anything–from jeans and shorts for a casual day, with slacks and a blouse for workwear, or with bling or pearls for an elegant evening out–there are lots of reasons for having several in your closet. And in this soft blush pink shade, you can wear it with so many things in your wardrobe.
While some fabrics work in almost any season, there can be exceptions. A heavy tweed blazer might not work in the summertime. Then again, if you work in an office where the AC is blasting, it might be a perfect choice! The same holds true for a blazer in linen. Depending on your climate, you might be able to wear it year-round. That is certainly true for those of us in Southern California as well as most southern states but may not work in the North.
When you can pick up a blazer under $35 that is lined, well-made and fits well, as this one does, it’s a smart shopping choice.
Three Fun Ways to Style a Pink Blazer
In the title, I included the word “fun” because I am trying some different looks today. Let me know what you think…
With a Leopard Skirt
For the first look, I styled the blazer with a pleated leopard skirt that I’ve styled many times before. Honestly, if you don’t have one, pick one up! They are incredibly neutral and so easy to dress up or down. Mine is older and from Target, and they have a current version that is very similar. (See Shop The Post following the photos.)
I went for a pretty safe pattern mixing here, as I added a soft pink boatneck tee with thin black stripes. This one is from last season, probably something from the clearance rack at Target. (Gosh, I’m discovering more and more fashion from Target in my closet!!) That allowed me to wear these black espadrille sandals. A round straw bag added a touch of summer and tied in with the braided tone in the shoes.

Red and Pink Combo
The second outfit is a bit bolder. Do you have a red striped tee in your wardrobe? Pull it out and try it with pink. I promise you will like it!! It’s one of the fresh combos that pop up every so often and have been popular since last year. Mine is from Lands End–a favorite for summer tees.
Statement Earrings in Red and Pink
The red ruffled slides are also from Target–last year–and continue to be fun! Red shoes are always so eye-catching, aren’t they? Even more so than yellow? Maybe.
I’m loving these statement earrings also from–you guessed it!–Target. They were the inspiration for this whole look. The hair, once again blowing in the wind? Well, that’s another story…
Jeans and Pink Blazer
This lighter shade of pink can almost serve as a neutral and looks great with jeans. Graphic tees are always fun (unless they have a less-than-positive motto, of course!) and I’ve included a couple below in the Shop the Post section.
Jeans and a blazer is such a classic look and it’s one that has been my go-to for most of my adult life. Comfy jeans and a blazer looks appropriate for almost any casual occasion and I’ve even worn it with sneakers for travel.

These espadrilles are my newest acquisition. They are by Franco Sarto, one of my favorite Italian shoe companies. They are well-made and incredibly comfortable as well as super cute. For me, that checks all my boxes.

I love each of the ways you styled the pink blazer! Pink and red is one of my favorite combos and I love pink and leopard! I love that you layered the light pink striped top underneath too. Wins all around!

Thanks so much, Virginia. I really liked the pink and red combo but the pictures weren’t that great! Lol! Glad you liked it anyway.
Have a great day!

Hi Darlene!
These are all great ways to style your blazer. Such a pretty one too! I need to pop into Target more.
Love pairing with a graphic tee, as I feel it dresses up the tee, so I like to wear it that way too.
The combo of red and pink is so vibrant and my fav may be the combo of the neutral leopard with the soft pink.
beautiful!

Jess, you are so sweet and I truly value your specific feedback! Yes, that pleated skirt has turned out to be a great buy as I’ve styled it year-round. And I’d like to pick up a couple more graphic tees. They really are fun, aren’t they!
Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Love the pleated skirts Darlene, especially the leopard print. Thanks for sharing on #chicandstylish Jacqui Mummabstylish
Yes, I think we have that in common as you style quite a few pleated skirts yourself! Thanks, Jacqui.

I’ve been wanting a pink blazer and whenever I find one for the right price (and fit!), I’m going to get it. The last outfit is how I’d probably wear it the most (tee & denim), but I really love it with the leopard skirt!! Hope you have a good day and I’m excited to have you as a co-host next week on TFF!!! 🙂

Thanks, Carrie! I’m looking forward to co-hosting with you! Don’t bypass Target’s many lines for blazers, dresses, and tops. They have some very cute–and very affordable–fashion pieces!

Isn’t pink and red just such a perfect combination!
I know, right? I love this combo!

Dar,
I can’t get access to the clothes via “shop the posy”. Amy suggestions?
Hmm. It works fine in Google Chrome but doesn’t seem to in Safari. Do you have access to the Chrome browser? I’ll keep working on it and may have to go back and embed clickable links. Darn. Isn’t technology fun???!!!
Thanks for letting me know,
xx Darlene
