Good morning! Today I am styling a choker top from Nordstrom. Another sale item at less than $30! Yay! To be honest, it took me a while to decide to like this style, and truthfully, I’m still not sure. The choker top looks super cute on some people–I think it very much depends on the style.
The choker top outfit
The thing that sold me on this top is the print. I haven’t seen many florals in this color combination and I really love it. The other feature is the sleeve detail. They are full ruffle-sleeves and tiered which gives the top some style and shape.
The good thing about a choker-style neck is there is no need for a necklace! Though I have seen them styled with a pendant necklace that fits into the open space on the chest.
I’m not sure about the length of this top as it hits me rather high on the hips. Not especially a slimming look for me in my current state of (lack of) fitness! New Year’s Resolution? I think so.
For this outfit, I kept things pretty simple and wore black slacks. Booties from Lands End with a touch of animal print completed the outfit. I thought that little touch of calf hair detail on the booties would add some interest.
OK, now about the bag. I have many but have been shopping around for a bag that can be better organized for everyday use. I find myself digging into my bag like a bag woman frequently; do any of you have that problem? So, while shopping at Macy’s I came across this bag with many divided sections. All of my very important stuff is organized into these areas. Now my only problem is remembering which section I put things in! Haha! This bag is by Giani Bernini and was on sale. They have lots of leather bags like this–check them out!
Four shopping days until Christmas (Eve, that is!)
I hope your last four days before Christmas are not too hectic! Now is the time to enjoy the season!
