I hope you’re not getting tired of seeing coral shades on the blog! Lol! But I had to share these two easy to style outfits in living coral. As I’ve mentioned before, you will see lots of versions and hues of this color, and in today’s post, I’m sharing some examples.
The definition of coral is pretty broad. Here is the definition listed in Wikipedia:
Coral (color) Coral is a reddish or pinkish shade of orange. The color is named after the sea animal also called corals. The first written use of coral as a color name in English was in 1513.
Since there are many shades of coral sea animals, there are equal numbers of coral shades in the fashion and design world. Just check out this Pinterest Page showing living coral outfit ideas or my collection of pins on my Living Coral Board and you’ll see many interpretations. They are all pretty!
Speaking of pretty, I hope you’ll find some inspiration from these two tops in varying hues of coral and the ways I styled them.
Outfits in Living Coral
Reddish-Coral Top Outfit
The first outfit in living coral is an example of a more reddish-coral shade. The color name for this item is just “coral” which proves that coral comes in many hues.
The button-down tunic is a super soft knit. I love the tie-front and the longer back. It makes a cute bathing suit coverup, too! It’s from the Caslon line at Nordstrom, a moderately priced line that makes very nice pieces at reasonable prices. This fun top is the basis of the outfit in living coral. Now for the other pieces, the ankle pants, and slides.
The pink cotton ankle pants and the slides are the same I styled in the post Spring Forward: Living Coral Sweater. I love the mix of the coral and the pink in the pants. The earrings are the same coral and gold pair by Baublebar.
The bag is an older one in a reddish-coral that looks great with the top! Love that!

Pinkish-Coral Top Outfit with Joggers
This split-neck tee is also by Caslon, and you can see it has more of a pinkish hue. It’s a super soft cotton with side splits. I chose to style it with navy pants.
These navy jogger pants were a great surprise in my Trunk Club selection! It’s fun to add something different to your pant wardrobe, and good fitting joggers is a great way to do that. These are a soft linen-blend which makes them a perfect transitional piece that can go from winter to spring. And they look great with sneakers, heels, and flats.
And how about these espadrille flats? Are they cute or what? They are from the designer Tory Burch and are a bit pricey. The toe caps are navy as is the tweed-ish fabric and they are beautifully made. An older stripped woven clutch is a great accompaniment.

You can tell that Pantone’s color of the year is a big hit with me! What do you think of this color for spring? I hope you like it, too, and that these outfits in living coral give you some spring inspiration!
Both outfits are lovely! This colour is really growing on me and now I’m looking out for something in coral to add to my wardrobe. It suits you so well. Thanks for linking up!

Emma, since you look amazing in vibrant colors, you would look fab in living coral, too! I’ll be on the lookout in your posts! Thanks for the nice comment.

This color is so pretty! I love coral shades for summer!

Jeans and a Teacup
Hi, Jessica. Yes, I really like the Pantone color of the year choice this time. Coral is such a perky color for spring!
Thanks for the nice feedback.

Coral is a beautiful color and I am glad it’s making a comeback. I like both outfits though I am drawn towards the first one. I think it’s because I am biased about the shirt. I love the tie knot detail and longer hem in the back. I love those sandals too. TB shoes are great! I bought a pair of her espadrilles and it has been one of my favorites! Happy Friday Darlene and wishing you a beautiful weekend ahead!

Hi, Maureen,
Obviously, I am totally loving the color choice this year. Maybe too much! Haha! I agree with you about the tops. I kept the tie-front in the redder shade and returned the lighter coral tee. I couldn’t quite justify spending so much on the shoes, but both were beautiful.
Thanks so much for your comments. You have a wonderful weekend, too!

I just cannot wear that color. Sorry to say I hate it when they pick a color of the season and I cannot wear it with my skin tone!!!
Hi, Linda,
No worries. Just try one of the other colors out of the twelve. There are some pretty pinks and greens, as well as rusty and earthy colors if those work better for you. Most of the pieces I’ve shared come in other colors, too, like tans and whites and grays.
I’ll bet you’re tired of my ecstatic coral posts! Haha! So sorry. I will definitely share some other colors and I hope some of them work for you.
Thanks so much for weighing in! I appreciate the feedback.
Have a wonderful weekend–NOT wearing coral! Lol!
