Happy day after Christmas! I hope your holiday was wonderful and everything you wished for. I love the time with my family! But now it’s time to get back to reality–and to get in some kind of shape! So today I am styling a very casual athleisure look and sharing some pictures from our nearby walking trail along the coast called Sea Summit.
With all there is to do for the holiday celebrations–not to mention the amazing and fattening foods!–it’s so easy to get off track in terms of taking care of yourself. Add that to my foot and ankle issues, and I am in dire need of some fitness! I still have to pace myself as the foot likes to swell and hurt, but walking is good for it, so that’s a good thing!
The athleisure outfit
Once again, I am styling my yoga pants by Zella. The high waist on these is super as it helps to smooth the muffin top! (Yes, that is definitely an area I need to work on!!) My hoodie is an inexpensive piece from Target. You can see similar versions here and here. As it is a bit of a cool day–overcast in the 60’s–the long sleeves are perfect and I wear this type of top a lot for walking and hiking as it is very lightweight.
Here is another athleisure look I styled last spring. I was a bit more fit then–pre-ankle! Yikes!
Yes, that’s the Pacific behind me, with Dana Point jutting out, and yes, that is Sergeant! My walking buddy!
And my other buddy, Scooter. Below you can see both of my “boys.” Wow, do they ever love their walks! Actually, we let Sergeant run as he has lots of energy and stays close. He is such a well-trained dog and I think he knows he’s got it good with us, so he does NOT try to run away!
This is a bit of a kick-back week as we all prepare for that OTHER holiday–New Year’s Eve! We will head to the Hyatt in San Diego for our celebration and I’ll share some photos of that area and what I’m wearing. We love it down there!
Have a wonderful week! Please share my posts–I need to grow my following in order to support this blog.
