Welcome to this month’s Match Made in Seven Collaboration! In celebration of countries around the world loosening restrictions and allowing us “out” again, Annemarie, the stylish UK blogger of Mutton Style, has chosen the theme “What to Wear Out.” Of course, “out” will vary by country and region, and the hope is that anyone and everyone going out is following the guidelines to stay safe and healthy. Nonetheless, Match Made in Seven is celebrating the return to the “new normal”!
Who is Match Made in Seven? We are an international group of fashion bloggers who meet once a month. One of us chooses a theme in turn, and that can be anything of our choosing: a book, music, a color, a movie. Each of us then interprets the theme and styles an outfit to honor it. It can be super challenging! Here are just a few examples:
It’s such fun to do collaborations with other like-minded fashion bloggers as it takes us out of our comfort zone and allows us to be creative. I love to see how each of these amazing ladies interprets each theme!
What To Wear Out, Out
Annemarie’s theme actually included two of the words Out, as in “What to Wear Out, Out.” Meaning what you might wear out and also what you might wear to go out for an evening or event or something somewhat special. In thinking about this, I realize that many of the outfits I’ve been styling on the blog are for just that–something special to wear when things return to some degree of normal. So, today, I’m revisiting a few of those looks.
All Red Dressed Up and Nowhere to Go
I bought this dress for Easter as something different from the usual pastels. Alas, we had a quiet Easter at home! I will be wearing this out, out soon!!
For the past couple of months, date night has been sitting on the couch and watching a movie! Same for you, right? I can’t wait to wear this dress out, out!
Going out, out doesn’t have to mean a dress. I’m looking forward to styling my white jeans and one of these bold tops!
Styling an all-white outfit around the house is NOT a good idea! I will be wearing this cute look for lunch with my girlfriends. While we’ve been holding Cocktail Hour meetings on Zoom, it will be nice to meet up in person. Social distancing, of course!
Finally, for a return to face-to-face meetings for my consulting work, I can wear a blazer in a stylish way with a belt and a little pattern mixing as I did in this post. Yay!
Be sure to see how my creative friends have interpreted the theme!! Let’s see what they are planning to wear out:

How will you style for the new normal? Remember, first impressions make a difference, and after this long break, you really will be making a brand new start, fashion-wise! Maybe otherwise, too. What will you wear out?
