Over the weekend was my husband’s 50th high school reunion. (Yes, I was a child bride! lol!) Since I knew ahead of time that it would be very warm up here in Portland, I picked out my outfit to match the weather.
You may remember this beautiful dress that came in my very first Stitch Fix box. As I said at the time, I probably would never have picked this, but my stylist did, and once I put it on I absolutely loved it! The white lace, the embroidered fabric, the high low hem and the general classiness of the dress sold me right away.
And it was the perfect fabric for a reunion on a hot summer night!
And guess what I ran into in Portland? Another Nordstrom store!! lol! I went in to pick up some blush, and the very sweet young man working there offered to do my makeup. He promised to keep is very subtle. It was so much fun! The manager came by and took photos of the before, during and after, shown here:
Many thanks to Raphael at Nordstrom in Portland!
As if I haven’t done enough shopping at Nordstrom lately! Here is a photo of the Nordstrom in downtown Portland, within walking distance of our hotel. (I had the security officer take the picture! No shame!)
You can see that I wore my Lucky Brand neutral wedges which are cute yet comfortable (and now on sale for $49.97! Click the link to check them out) and my cut leather crossbody bag. I added some gold and white statement earrings and a couple of bracelets and–voila! Ready to party! It was a great party spent with some of my husband’s friends from all the way back to elementary and high school.
Check back in tomorrow for some more views of Portland.
