Wide-leg pants made a comeback last spring and continue to trend. They are a great alternative to skinny pants and jeans and can be worn year-round in a number of ways. Today I’m styling a beautiful wide-leg silk pants outfit in a leopard print that I absolutely love.
As a blogger, I follow a number of other bloggers and participate in weekly Link Up parties to get inspiration from other fashion trend-setters. When I see something I like and visit a site using the affiliate link provided in the post, they gain a small commission. I think this is more than fair, as they did all the work and made my online shopping trip much easier. Not to mention the inspiration to try something new recommended by someone else!
When I saw this post from Shauna at Chic Over Fifty, I fell in love with these silk wide-leg pants. The fact that they are an animal print makes them even more appealing and versatile.
Speaking of versatile, I’ve written two previous posts explaining the benefits of this style of pants and featured two styles of wide-leg pants:
The Wide Leg Silk Pants Outfit
In her post, Shauna mentioned the beautiful drape and flow of the silk fabric. And she is absolutely right! They feel amazing in a substantial silk fabric, yet hold their shape nicely.

Described as “camel leopard,” the print has a blend of both camel and black on a cream background. The neutral colors make it easy to add almost any color as an accent or paired piece. I’ve styled it here with additional basics like black and tan. For my neutral outfit lovers, this is a look for you! If you are a lover of color, imagine the pants styled with an orange top or red top! Or how about a hot pink blazer? The possibilities are limitless…
The pants are a cropped length which on me means almost to the ankle! Lol! For you taller ladies, it would be a true crop and would look super cute. A side tie at the waist is a lovely detail.
A simple black top with short sleeves appears under the ivory utility jacket. This jacket is a nice alternative to a basic denim jacket, with similar styling. The smoother fabric and contrasting stitching in the longer utility style is another way to change up the look of an outfit. In this instance, the light tan color contrasts nicely with the camel leopard print. It’s currently on sale!
The Accessories
Since it was a warmish spring day, I styled the full leg pants with sandals. These are from last season, by Franco Sarto. Franco Sarto is an Italian brand that makes gorgeous leather sandals. The salesman at Nordstrom told me they are way underrated for the softness and quality they provide. Another great selling point is the price: they are far less expensive than most all-leather sandals. I have several pairs and they are all super comfortable. Here are the leather sandals in white and a similar pair of black sandals.
The last piece is the straw tote bag. It’s a larger one that I can carry as an everyday tote or even as a beach bag. It’s by Brighton so you know it’s a bit pricey and is very well made.
Ready to style a pair of wide-leg pants? These silk look and feel amazing and are perfect for a spring to summer outfit.

Thanks to you, Jacqui! I am loving the ability to change back-and-forth between skinnies and loosely flowing pants this year. A nice change!
